The Philadelphia Gay & Lesbian Theatre Festival needs outgoing, energetic, community-minded people – like you!

 

VOLUNTEER FOR OUR 2010 FESTIVAL!

 

How would you like to support a great cause and see a free show? If that sounds good to you, then volunteer for the PGLTF 2010 festival!

We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:

  • Tech Support / Stage Crew: Help load sets, strike sets, and basic lighting assistance. Tech support shifts generally take place on weekend afternoons and/or on nights after a show.
  • Ushers: Greet audience members as they arrive, take tickets, distribute programs, and answer basic questions about the show or the festival.

Volunteers can sign up for one shift or for multiple. Shifts generally last between 2 and 4 hours. For each shift you volunteer, you will get one complimentary ticket to a festival show!

Marketing/Publicty for PGLTF

The Philadelphia Gay & Lesbian Theatre Festival is looking for interested media partners, especially in the GLBT market, to work with our publicity / marketing coordinator to increase awareness of the festival and support the arts in our community.  For more information please contact us by email at GLTFpa@aol.com.

 

Grant Writer

Development/Grant Writer needed for The Philadelphia Gay & Lesbian Theatre Festival. We are looking for experienced person who is also interested in supporting a festival of this kind. Pay equals a percentage of new grants successfully obtained. Please send resume to GLTFpa@aol.com.  We will contact you for an interview.

 

Volunteer

PGLTF relies on its volunteer corps to keep things running smoothly and to bring high-quality live theatre to the Philadelphia area’s GLBT community.  There are a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit your interests:

 

  • Board Membership – become a member of PGLTF’s working board of directors and help us to discover, nurture, present and produce full-length plays, musicals,one-acts, and monologues, one-person shows, young audience plays and cabarets reflective of our mission.

 

  • Event & Festival Staff – be the “face of the festival” by volunteering at any of PGLTF’s events including our annual Holiday Ball, our Valentine’s Cabaret, or our Production Season.  Depending on the event volunteer opportunities include:
    • Actor / Cast Member
    • Technical Assistance / Stage Crew
    • Greeter / Usher
    • Catering
    • Setup / Cleanup

 

  • Street Team – help spread the word about PGLTF by promoting the festival at community events including OutFest, Equality Forum, and SundayOUT!

 

And if that warm feeling you get from supporting PGLTF isn’t enough, by volunteering you’ll be eligible for free admission to some or all of our events!
